Hope Integrative Therapy strives to promote optimal health across the lifespan.  We provide collaborative and individualized care for your specific needs. We specialize in orofacial myofunctional therapy, feeding therapy, and speech sound disorders therapy.  We service San Antonio, Boerne, Floresville, and surrounding cities. 

Mary Martinez, M.S., CCC-SLP is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Orofacial Myofunctional therapist with over 13 years of experience. Mary is dedicated to identifying why orofacial dysfunction is occurring which is why she is passionate about treating patients of all ages with an integrative and multi-disciplinary approach (e.g. dentist, ENT, orthodontist, chiropractor, craniosacral therapist, lactation consultant) in order to achieve optimal results. 

Mary has completed numerous continuing education including The Breathe Oral Habits Program, The Breathe Baby Course, TOTS: Tethered Oral Tissues Specialty Trained, and Myo Munchee. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and Airway Circle.

Orofacial myofunctional therapy is described as, "the study and treatment of the oral and facial muscles as they relate to speech, dentition, chewing/bolus collection, swallowing, and overall mental and physical health." -- Sandra R. Holtzman

OROFACIAL MYOFUNCTIONAL DISORDERS can include thumb or prolonged pacifier sucking habits, open mouth resting posture, lisps, tongue tie, tongue thrust, feeding difficulties, TMJ pain or popping/clicking.

The GOALS of myofunctional therapy are to establish nasal breathing, correct tongue resting posture, lip seal, and correct swallow.
